Displacement & Re-Educational Center

"A Community of Caring"

ReNewed Faith Ministries is a help organization and community center motivated to help the underprivileged and the needy.  The Renewed Faith Displacement and Re-Educational Center will provide housing, food, and needed resources for the continuing education to families and high risk youth, ages 16 – 19 years of age.  As our name states we want to help renew people’s faith in themselves and others, by providing a decent alternative to rudimentary homeless shelters and offer more structure, services, opportunities, and management to help participants reach independent living capabilities and permanent housing.

ReNewed Faith Ministries is a tax-exempt non-profit 501C(3) assisted-life center and food bank ministry that serves all of Greene County, Missouri. Our initiative is designed to provide temporary residence and improve economic development, feed families, and promote the well-being for children, families, and the community. Through education or re-education, counseling, and utilizing self-evaluation and improvement classes we hope to aid residents in getting their lives more positioned to achieve self-sufficiency.  We aim to help re-incorporate them into the community structure as viable thriving assets.  Enabling them to aid in building strong, resilient, and all-encompassing communities.  For strong communities provide job opportunities for all and productive sustainable neighborhoods.

Our services will improve the ability of families to care for children and achieve goals of self-sufficiency.  A higher minimum wage isn't an effective solution for underemployment, but achieving greater education for those employed in low wage jobs is the answer that will ensure a positive future.  In five to seven years jobs in fast food restaurants are due to become obsolete, then we will be faced with an even greater problem, i.e. increased unemployment.

Re-Newed Faith’s services are a small investment in comparison to the cost of ignoring the problem of hunger and under-education in this county and the influence it has on a number of health and crime issues.  The main priority will present specific, substantive plans that will provide employment for low-income residents, enhanced educational opportunities for children and adults, and access to services that will aid them to achieve their personal goals.

We also identify and utilize resources to provide food to lower-income homes that need emergency help to put meals on their table in the community.  Charity cannot only be about providing handouts, but it must also encompass educating those that we give aid.  We must break the cycle of revolving-door assistance programs and build stronger communities with higher educated individuals that produce even more dynamic coming generations. RNFM is built to do a new thing, engage in a new way of helping those that need it most.  Strong communities provide job opportunities for all, quality health care, and productive sustainable neighborhoods.

Empowering Women: Becoming Your Own Woman, a women’s support group that stresses the empowerment of women.  We encourage not only each woman’s individual growth but the strength of women as a whole.  We strive for an atmosphere where each woman feels free to voice her concerns, needs, hopes, failings, etc.  We foster togetherness, strength, and loyalty among the women who attend.  Through personal witnessing, support counseling, and respect.

Empowering Men: Leading the Way for You and Family, is our men’s group focus.  It is to strengthen the men’s sense of self and erase those invisible lines which exist which sometimes prevent them from coming together and depending on one another.  Its main focus is to foster a bond among the males of each generation which will be strong and long-lasting, by encouraging them to be builders of strong sustaining communities and households.

AAHs and EEWs (Adolescent Answers Healing Everyone’s Everyday Wars) is a part of our youth initiative, and is for ages 13yrs to 19yrs of age. The young people vote on a President, Vice-President, and Secretary, it is governed and chaired by the youth for the youth.  They are encouraged to have discussions and review issues which not only affect them, but those that effect young people all over the world.  The choice of topics is often theirs or the youth director will provide them with germane news stories.  They must come up with ideas to help foster changes in youthful society with goals on developing self-respect and building unity.  In order to be considered for an office the youth must attend school regularly, keep a 2.0 GPA, and not have any negative incidences in school or at the center.

Cross-cultural understanding and diversity, self-respect, and learning to love self are also incorporated into the youth program design.  College preparedness, graduating high school or obtaining their GED are endeavors which each young person must be productively engaged in. This group is open to the public and any teens in the community that wish to, can become a part.

For girls, 9 yrs to 12 yrs there is the High Heels Club.  It is a program aimed at girls who do not have a positive female role model at home.  Young girls are encouraged to learn some forgotten gifts which used to be handed down from mother to daughter, such as sewing, cooking, dressing to succeed not to impress, etc.

For boys 9 yrs to 12 yrs, the R You Ready Club.  It is a program aimed at boys who lack a positive male figure in their lives.  Its main tenants are to teach the values which will help them to grow into productive young men who are responsible, respectful, and righteous.

For young girls ages 3 yrs to 8 yrs the group is called the C-SAW Club, where young girls are encouraged to learn about Control and to become smart, active, and well-mannered,  encouraging fitness of mind, body, and spirit.

For young boys ages, 3 yrs to 8 yrs is the C-MEE Club, where young boys are encouraged to learn about Control and managing-extreme-emotions.  The lessons help them to manage anger, depression, and to entreat a more positive attitude.
